Spring things – what local events have sprung up this spring

Coledale Markets for every 4th Sunday of the month

Who went to Spring into Corrimal festival on the weekend?

After what feels like a long winter, it was so nice to have the sun shine down on last Sunday’s festival, as thousands turned out to watch the street parade. It was great!

Nothing like a good bagpipe band and some vintage cars to welcome in Spring. It’s just amazing how busy it was. It felt like the biggest year yet, and I would have been more than a dozen times throughout the years.

I love Spring around this area. It’s like we wake up.
Every week there’s something new going on.

I’m looking forward to next week’s Thirroul Public School Spring Fair .

One Agency Downie & Denison-Pender are sponsors of the event, I’m pleased to say.

Do you think you can make it?

I’m expecting plenty of face painting and crowds of families from around Thirroul having a great time.

One of Vanessa’s favourite Spring events is the Scarborough Art Show, happening on the 13th and 14th of October. It’s a big event every year that shows off some great talent from around our area. It also draws in sculptors, painters and printmakers from Sydney, the Southern Highlands and all around. The kids always have a wonderful time too, with lots of music and fun activities for them as well.

Are you planning to go along this year too?

Do let us know on Facebook what your plans are for Spring. There are always new things popping up around the area. The team and I would love to find out. We’re always on the hunt for something new to enjoy with our families. Hope to hear from you.
